A platformer game with an emotional theme.
The gameplay is heavily inspired by the game Celeste. Optimized for speed running.
Difficulty balance was a big focus for this project. Each level needed to be perceived as fair to retain players.
Because of this, the game went through several rounds of gameplay testing before it was released
I extensively utilized 2D lighting techniques and particle system to add a greater sense of mood to otherwise simple background environments.
